During this 15-month program, the
physical therapist will be a “traditional” staff therapist
working 20 hours per week at ProRehab. The remainder
of the week will be spent with in-clinic direct mentorship
evaluating and treating patients with sports related
injuries. ProRehab’s Certified Athletic Trainers serve
as mentors for the on-field experiences at the local high
schools in the Evansville area. Residents also have the
opportunity to work with collegiate and professional
athletes.
Residents will participate in one
of the active research lines through ProRehab and the
University of Evansville and have the opportunity to assist
with the teaching of the advanced sports and orthopaedic
class at the University. By the completion of the 15 month
program, the therapist will be prepared to sit for the
Sports Certified Specialist Exam.
