April 2008

The PT Club had a great semester this spring!  They provided over $3,800 to students who attended the American Physical Therapy Association's Combined Section Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.  The funding was in part made possible through the highly successful Turoni's frozen pizza fundraiser which was held in January.  The event raised over $1,500.

The PT Club raised nearly $500 for the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center with the ever-popular Massage-A-Thon.

Members had many opportunities to be involved in community events such as the Tri-State MS Society's "All About Me" Weekend, UE Gives Back, and trips to the Holiday Village Retirement Center.

The PT Club has featured speakers at club meetings to further inform and educate members about the profession and strategies they can utilize to make the most out of the remainder of their educational career, as well as their professional career.

The PT Club's major goal for April 2009 is to raise over $3,000 for the Marquette Challenge  through various fundraisers and to be recognized as "Honorable Mentions" for the university.
